The United States should disarm Israel because Tel Aviv’s nuclear weapons are the “greatest danger” to the world, according to an American journalist.
“I really think that Israel is the one that’s a pariah nation that needs to be looked at and needs to be brought to heel for their illegal actions as far as nuclear weapons and nuclear development,” said Mike Harris, an editor at the Veterans Today online journal.
“They’re really the ones who are the greatest danger of anyone in the world,” he told Press TV in a phone interview on Monday.
Israel already receives billions of dollars from the United States each year. Under an existing 10-year aid agreement signed in 2007, $30 billion of American taxpayers’ money is flowing to Israel.
The US annual military aid to Israel has been elevated from $2.4 billion to $3.1 billion through 2017 under the existing agreement.
Harris reaffirmed Iran’s position that it does not have any interest in having nuclear weapons.
Iran and the six world powers - the US, the UK, France, China, Russia, and Germany - are set to start their fresh round of talks to reach a final agreement, in Vienna, on Tuesday. The negotiations are expected to last until Wednesday.
