We know that the FBI, Defense Department and local police have worked to infiltrate and spy on peaceful domestic groups because they were seen as threats, and the revelations from Snowden have shown us that the NSA reads our Facebook posts, scans our emails, follows our Twitter accounts, listens to our phone calls, etc.</span><br />
