Why We All Need To Stop Cleaning With Bleach

Regular bleach is one of the most toxic deadly chemicals around. Unfortunately, bleach has been used around the house as a cleaning agent for years now. The fumes from bleach can affect the nervous system, immune system, respiratory system, cancer, asthma, autism, ADD, and allergies. And for the most part conventional bleach is not that effective because it has to dry on the surface you’re trying to disinfect in order to kill all the bacteria.

Chlorine Bleach is a strong corrosive material. It will irritate the eyes, skin and the respiratory tract by just inhaling the gasses. When this happens a poisonous gas is released that can cause bloody noses, neurological disorders, headaches and even death. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has found dioxin (a toxic byproduct of chlorine) to be 300,000 times more potent as a carcinogen than DDT.

When bleach is mixed with ammonia, toxic gases called chloramines are produced. Exposure to chloramine gases can cause the following symptoms:
Coughing.
Nausea.
Irritation to the throat, nose, and eyes.
Pneumonia
Shortness of breath.
Watery eyes.
Chest pain.

Did you know that mixing chlorine with dish soap produces mustard gas, the same gas used to kill many people during World War I? Bleach is dangerous. It is as simple as that.
Why This Natural Bleach Alternative Works

The citric acid in lemons acts as a natural bleach, stain remover, and sanitizer. Hydrogen peroxide is also a great disinfectant because it rapidly breaks down in the environment to plain oxygen and water.
