Kelly Thomas’ Last Words Before Police Beat Him To Death, A Wake Up Call

In the moments before he lost consciousness, Kelly Thomas cried out for his dad 31 times. He yellowed “help me” 26 times and cried out “I’m sorry” 15 times. He responded “OK” to police, a full 29 times and used words like “Sir” and “Please” when speaking to the officers who beat him to death. Those two former Fullerton California police officers walked free this week, found not guilty of any wrong doing in the murder of Thomas.

“Help me. Help me. Help me.”
“I don’t know about you,” Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas told jurors, “but I can’t recall ever hearing such pleas. Such crying. Such begging for his life. Ever.”
Still, no justice came as the verdict was read.
Ron Thomas said that the defense “lied … continuously” about the character of his son, Kelly.
“It’s carte blanche for police officers everywhere to beat us, kill us” this verdict proves that “they’ll get away with it” no matter whether it is caught on video or not, Ron Thomas said.

If you believe that we must never forget these crimes, and if you believe the masses must be woken up to the growing police state, then pass this along to someone who you know who needs to be woken up. Ultimately, that is what the beating death of Kelly Thomas is – beyond a murder of one innocent, unarmed man by two armed police officers – it is a wake up call to us all.
